Amaretto Cheesecake Recipe I

Ingredients:

For the Crust:
1-1/2 cups of cracker crumbs (Graham)
2 Tablespoons of sugar (refined)
1 teaspoon of cinnamon (ground)
1/2 cup of melted margarine

For the Cake:
1 cup of sugar (refined)
4 pieces of eggs (large)
1/3 cup of Amaretto (or half a cup)
24 ounces of cream cheese

For the Topping:
1 Tablespoon & 1 teaspoon of sugar (refined)
1 Tablespoon of Amaretto
8 ounces of sour cream (dairy)

For the Garnishes:
Chocolate shavings (from a Hershey’s bar)
Almond (halves)

Instructions:

Combine crumbs, sugar, cinnamon, and melted margarine; press firmly onto the base of 10-inch (springform) pan. Mix cream cheese, sugar, eggs, Amaretto; beat thoroughly.

Pour onto the prepared crust. Place inside the oven and bake (375 degrees F) at about 45-50 mins. While waiting, combine sour cream, sugar, and Amaretto; beat thoroughly then spread onto the half-baked cheesecake. Increase the temperature, (500 degrees F) and bake again for 5 mins.

Place inside the refrigerator for over a night then garnish if preferred. Serve chilled.
