Candy Cane Cheesecake Recipe
Ingredients:
1-1/3 cup of cookie crumbs (chocolate)
2 Tablespoons of sugar (refined)
1/4 cup of butter (or margarine)
1-1/2 cup of sour cream (dairy)
1/2 cup of sugar (white)
3 pieces of eggs (large)
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
1 Tablespoon of flour
1/4 teaspoon of peppermint extract
8 oz cream cheese
2/3 cup of candy (peppermint); crushed
2 Tablespoons of butter
Instructions:
Preheat the oven at (325 degrees F). Combine crumbs, sugar, and butter; press firmly on 9-inch (springform) pan.
Combine sour cream, eggs, white sugar, extracts, and flour; blend thoroughly till smooth then add (2 tablespoons) butter and cream cheese. Add candy and stir thoroughly.
Pour onto the crust then bake for 50 to 60 mins or till firm. Let it cool then place inside the refrigerator to chill overnight. Take out from the pan then serve.
If preferred, top sweetened whipped cream on top then add candy canes.
