Chocolate Velvet Cheesecake Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Crust:
1 cup of wafer crumbs (vanilla)
1/2 cup of pecans; chopped
3 Tablespoons of sugar (granulated)
1/4 cup of melted margarine

For the Filling:
6 ounces of softened cream cheese
1/2 cup of sugar (brown)
2 pieces of eggs (large)
6 ounces of melted chocolate chips (semisweet)
3 Tablespoons of liqueur (almond flavor)
2 cups of sour cream (dairy)
2 Tablespoons of sugar (granulated)

Instructions:

Combine pecans, crumbs, margarine, and sugar; press firmly onto the base of a 9 inch (springform) pan then bake (325 degrees F) for 10 mins.

Combine (brown) sugar with cream cheese; beat thoroughly using a mixer till blended well. Add the eggs individually, while beating continuously. Add liqueur and melted chocolate; blend thoroughly and pour above the crust.

Place inside the oven and bake (325 degrees F) for 35 mins then increase the temperature (425 degrees F). Combine sugar with sour cream; pour above the cheesecake and continue to bake for 10 mins. Run a knife around the sides of the pan to loosen the cake.

Let it cool then remove the rim and place inside the refrigerator. Serve chilled.
